125 years of of pioneering achievement deserves a celebration, and last night was no exception for the world's most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Glenfiddich. Hosted by actor Adrian Grenier, the decadent whiskey was toasted by a 150 person gala on Liberty Island in New York. Highlighting the affluent evening was an auction of the first U.S bottle of only 11 available in the world. The 55 year old Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve went on to raise $94,000, making it the most expensive whisky purchased at auction. Proceeds were then donated to Grenier's SHFT initiatives, a charity dedicated to sustainability causes. Overall the evening was the picture of historical richness, and culture. A luxurious night indeed.
